Understanding US Import Duties for Jewelry

When importing jewelry into the USA, duties vary by material and value. For our titanium steel, stainless steel, and 925 silver pieces, most fall under HTSUS 7117 (imitation jewelry) with a duty rate around 5.5% ad valorem. Pearl and zircon items may have different rates. Always verify current rates with a customs broker.

Our factory in Meilong, Guangdong, China, ensures all products are nickel-free, lead-free, and comply with EU REACH and Prop 65. These certifications do not affect duty rates but help avoid customs holds. For duty calculation, the declared value includes the cost of goods, shipping, and insurance (CIF).

To minimize duties, many buyers split shipments or use free trade agreements if applicable. We offer free shipping over $50 via DHL/FedEx, but duties are the importer's responsibility.
